"Where do I start? I remember calling John about a month and a half before my wedding. I had been trying to find a decor company that could give a special touch to my wedding. I either was told I had to spend a minimum or they couldn't meet with me until 2-3 weeks out. When I called John and told him my problems, he was so happy to help me.
We set up an appointment right away at my venue location! He was extremely professional. I thought I was going to come in and just tell him what I wanted, but instead gave me great suggestions and gave me his expert opinion. I had a walk through with another company and all they wanted to do was what they wanted and what will work for them. I did not feel this was with John at all. He immediately saw my vision and quickly put a quote together for me. We had another meeting at their warehouse and they spent a good amount of time going over all my options. I changed my mind about color and different decor furniture, and John was always there ready with another quote. John even helped me out the day before the wedding when I had a root canal and couldn't go shopping for the candy bar items. A quote was quickly put together for me to rent cupcake stands, trays etc.
Unlike other vendors that were asking for their money as soon as I arrived, John not once asked me about money instead told me just send me a check. A bride doesn't have time to think about payments or money on one of their most important day of their lives and John made sure I felt no stress. When I arrived everything was ready to go. The ceremony area looked beautiful and the inside decor was everything I had envisioned.

"My husband and I got married in August 2014 in San Clemente and worked with OCLA for lighting, decor, and a number of rentals for our medium/large sized wedding. We were referred to OCLA by chance and are so thrilled we called and worked with them! John, his team and partners are extremely professional, have a wide range of experience with different events and different cultural weddings (we had an Indian/fusion one), have a large stock of rentals, linens, furniture and fantastic/competitive lighting. John and his team were the first to arrive and last to leave, but they are so smooth you barely even realise they are there! He was so flexible with everything! I had seen their work a month before at another wedding, which they completely enhanced the ambiance.
So, before all my guests came into my wedding reception area, my husband and I were able to take a peak at the space. "I was looking for decor company to make my wedding day look the way I envisioned it. My reception was going to be in a pavilion tent and I needed it to look elegant with ceiling swags and chandeliers. I went through several vendors on theknot.com and WeddingWire.com, explained what I wanted, and received quotes from most of them. John's company was the one that gave me the most assurance that he can get the job done within my budget.
We had several emails and phone calls back and forth to get the exact picture then had our first in-person meeting at the venue. He brought sample materials to show me and provided me with honest insights on how to make things look best in cost-effective manner.
My husband and I had adjustments on the guest number until very last minute and John was flexible and adjusted our contract accordingly.
On the day of the wedding, John and his team arrived early to give ample amount of time to set up. They independently worked with the venue staff to solve any issues so that I didn't have worry about a thing that day since I was preoccupied with many other things.
The final product was beautiful beyond my expectation. Many of the guests complimented how gorgeous the place looked and how impressed they were. Lighting for the guest tables created elegant and romantic ambiance. The chandeliers and high-quality, sage green (my theme color) table overlay completed the elegant look that I was going for. My husband and I were highly satisfied with their service and will recommend to friends who will need decor for their wedding in the future."

"John and the entire team at OCLA Events are exceptional. We held our 41st annual fundraising event at the OC Fairgrounds and I had to pleasure of working with John over the course of about 6 months. He is always quick to respond to emails and never blinked an eye when we went through dozens and dozen of changes to our event. He came to every walk through we had and brought ideas from his team that benefited our event. Our event was three days long and each day I heard from John to make sure there was nothing I needed last minute - and when I did need some last minute draping after his entire crew had left for the day - it was delivered and set up within two hours!
